The change of scene, arriving back at the country house after our renovation vacation, seemed to agree with Mist. That was yesterday. Today she changed her mind. Nothing suited her this morning! She yowled at me, at the top of her lungs, for hours and hours this morning. I know she wanted the sliding glass door open, but it was only 12C out there and I was not about to get a chill so she could sniff the wilderness. She had me follow her to her food bowl, full and topped up; her water dish, full and water replaced, and her milk bowl which had already been filled this morning. Nothing appeased her. I took a shower. She sat beside the tub and yowled at me. Finally, after hopping in the tub for a few licks of warm water on the side of the tub, she settled.
She wandered over to her basket for nap. I dearly hope she is in a better humour when she wakes up!
When we left the little house in the city I was not looking forward to be back at the country house. Attila works long days and I spend a lot of time alone at the country house. However, once we arrived I felt very glad to be here, thank goodness. After sleeping poorly for two weeks, I settled right in and had a good night’s sleep our first night back.
I am working two days this week, and one day next week. It will be a lot of driving, hundreds of kilometers, but I should earn enough to cover the cost of fuel and the maintenance on the car this month.
My Mom and sister are in Europe this week, London and Paris. Hoping they have a good time, the trip is recreational. Mom has been before, on a work related trip. I think this is my sister’s first trip abroad. They are living the life!
I did manage to get outside with my camera, to take pictures of the little rust spots on the car. I filled in the online claims form and attached the images, it took hours to process! I hope I filled the form in correctly, and if I didn’t that they get in touch with me and walk me through what they think they need.
Time got completely away from me today, I’ve no idea what I’ve done! Although, when I take the time to list the jobs completed throughout the day, it adds up quickly. Constantly tackling little project after little project is a lot like breathing, there is a natural flow, completely without stress. Spending time this way is very satisfying. Keeping tabs on one’s activity is not necessary and activity is like breathing. One seldom remembers each breath taken.

Amen to that!
