The sun is shining, it is warm outside, but not hot, nor is it humid, a perfect summer’s day. It has been a totally uneventful day, the very best kind of day.
Today Granny’s Rose took to full bloom. I hope she knows how much she was loved.
The first bloom on the Clematis burst out today, the branches are laden with buds.
The Swiss Chard not only makes an excellent breakfast, it is pretty!

Such a lovely rose! It was beautiful here in New Jersey today, too.
Lovely indeed.
Eileen, I see the Rose through, well, rose coloured glasses, lol. So nice that the lovely day was shared where you are!
Thank you Steve-Paul, it was the kind of day I loved for walking, when I lived in Toronto!
Such beautiful flowers! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Joan! Flowers bring such pleasure!
The rose is beautiful! What a wonderful reminder of your Granny. She visits every summer through her roses:)
Hugs!
Sandy, she does! Your comment reminds me that her favourite hymn was In The Garden, I’ve always loved her garden.
IN THE GARDEN
Inspired by the gospel of John, chapter 20, this hymn celebrates the joyous companionship its author, C. Austin Miles, experiences with Jesus as he walks through the garden.
In the Garden
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses…
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other, has ever, known!
He speaks and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that he gave to me,
Within my heart is ringing . . .
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own,
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other, has ever, known!
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other, has ever, known!
