Granny’s Dining Room Table

Granny's Dining Room Table
Granny’s Dining Room Table

I am sitting in my easy chair, watching the clock. Attila has suggested we go for a walk, made a date with me to do so. It is evening. It is cold out there. It is dark out there. If left to my own devices I might just procrastinate and not make it out the door, feeling guilty for the entire evening, and into tomorrow. But Attila keeps us moving. Once I am out there walking I am glad of it. If a day passes without a walk, I find I miss it, a lot. Getting myself out of the chair and out of the door, of a cold dark evening, needs that little bit of extra prompting from Attila!

Mom’s advice has always been, keep moving!

Attila put the Christmas lights up around the front door today. That is one of the perks of taking a walk after dark in December, touring the Christmas light displays in the neighbourhood. We have our favourites, usually the displays that are reminiscent of the 50s and 60s, the years of our youth.

That’s a lovely table!

Teri

Oh! The table is lovely! It reminds me of a table once owned by a friend of mine from many years ago. It had a brown mahogany tone with more of a mouse brown cast, rather than a reddish cast.
