That’s A Wrap

2025 is rapidly coming to an end.

It was a good year for us.
Our definition of a good year is one where:
1. We and our loved ones and friends are free from suffering.
2. We have enough to eat, healthy food that we enjoy.
3. We have comfortable shelter.
4. We have access to health care.
5. We are able to ride the storm created by malfunctioning humans.

It wasn’t that we didn’t have our challenges, there certainly were some bothersome situations to deal with. Life is like that, kind of like the weather, it does what it wants, when it wants. The messy parts of 2025 were relatively benign for us, which is something to be grateful for.

Attila and I are celebrating New Year’s Eve by enjoying our usual routine. We started with a walk in the snow after dark. A snowy night can be quite beautiful walking under streetlights, where one can watch every snowflake swirl and descend. Later we had a lovely supper, a bit of a chat, and now we are working on a jigsaw puzzle. Then we will be off to bed early.

The jigsaw puzzle we are working on is the one I chose, then wrapped for Attila. It is called “Tidying Up The Garden” by Trefl, a Polish company. It is a high quality puzzle. We are enjoying it.

We usually buy jigsaw puzzles at charity shops, for less than $5.00. But we splurged for Christmas. It is acceptable if pieces are missing from previously owned puzzles, I circle missing piece on the image on the box, for future reference.

Have a happy and peaceful New Year’s Eve, however you celebrate, or do not celebrate, the turn of the year.

Maggie, I love that quote. It says so much in just a few words.

All best wishes to you, Attila, and Ginger for the coming new year.

I’m glad 2025 was good for you. It was mostly good for Julia and I. Some small health challenges, but nothing terrible. Interesting quote, quite relevant!

Sounds like you two had a lovely New Year!

Sadly, I got what I think was the flu and that messed up my eating once again. Two years in a row now, I’m slowly adding back foods.
