We welcomed 2026 with an early morning walk in the bright and sunny, cold and biting, morning air.
We are celebrating the day with a homemade pizza. All that is except Ginger, he is celebrating in his usual way, snoozing on the couch.
The new calendar is hanging on the wall, the old one goes in the file box.
This is the first New Year ever that I am chasing down fruit flies, who would have thought! They probably came in with the ten pounds of onions. An interesting first project of the year.
The celebration treat for today is a homemade pizza, a favourite meal here at Mist Cottage. Ginger is totally disinterested, so he will be receiving lots of extra cuddles and petting as is his want.
