Flu Two

I am sitting in my easy chair, surrounded by kleenex, glasses of water and the thermometer.

I managed to sleep for five consecutive hours last night and feel much better for it. However, my temperature was higher this morning than it was yesterday, 39. The nausea, nasty cough and headache persist. I have no appetite and even water tastes disgusting. Misery!

My energy level is zero. When I have a fever it is wise not to pursue technical interests, even transcribing genealogical data becomes difficult to accomplish with accuracy. I’d be bored but feeling terrible is taking up all of my time!

I want to be free of this by Christmas!

I love your quote for today. In fact, Margaret Mead is one of my first real heroes. When I was divorced from my 1st husband, I ditched his last name and named myself Rebecca Meade (I added the “e” at the end) in honor of her. Then of course I changed to Paul’s last name when our marriage occurred.

Hope your illness is gone soon.
