Blue Week

We are in for a frigid week ahead. I think this is Blue Week, not Blue Monday! Of course there will be no time to sit around feeling blue this week, keeping warm is going to be all that occupies our minds and our time. Attila will be extremely busy with firewood; three firings a day will be mandatory, plus a daily fire in the little cast iron wood stove downstairs, to keep the pipes from freezing. That is almost 200 pounds of firewood a day, for the next four days. He can get started on all that after he clears the rest of the snow in the driveway tonight!

I am not posting a picture of the snow, same old, same old, only there is lots of new.

I do not envy Attila having to work outside this week. Lots of comfort food will be needed! That is where I come into the picture. I do comfort food very well.

Does this mean a new soup is in the offing? I am feeling like brewing up a soup here, too. We are due for more snow tonight/tomorrow…

Just getting back from a camping trip in central California and now reading about snow. You guys are a hardy breed. Attila must have a lot of muscles. Moving 800 pounds of firewood sounds like a pretty amazing feat.
