There's very ugly furniture,
in the room at the end of the hall,
I saw it once and shut the door,
I don't go there at all.
It's where I store your attitude,
your small mind and your sneer,
I put them there some years ago,
and didn't shed a tear.
You tried to drag the children in,
through the space beneath the door,
you whispered your vendetta,
it poured across the floor.
We slept in tents, we stood in line,
we did without and more.
We ran,
we screamed,
but we always dreamed,
and we
did not open that door.
Because,
there's very ugly furniture,
in the room at the end of the hall.
