Our weekend was a big success. Our company thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I always enjoy my conversations with H, as she is a gentle soul with a sharp intellect and a quick sense of humour. She and I had the opportunity to sit quietly together and chat on several occasions over the last three days. We all enjoyed lots of good company, good food and exercise, visiting a nearby park to hike and picnic.
Company is fun. Returning to our daily routines is fun. Variety is the spice of life they say, and in this particular circumstance it seems to ring true.
The iBook has been steadily slowing down. Today, after running through the routine maintenance functions, performance has not improved. It takes hours to repair the hard drive and check the hardware, but I am determined to get through the process. It may be that I have to format the hard drive and reinstall everything. Or it may be that the iBook will be headed to the repair shop. Or it may be time to trade it in on a newer model. Time will tell.
Other than trying to speed up the laptop, my day has consisted of laundering bed linens, washing a few dishes and just generally setting straight all the little things I ignored while I was enjoying our company.
Now for a good night's sleep and off to a fresh start in the morning.
